Side Effects
In a small number of cases, there may be short-lived pain at the time of injection or slight transient (1-2 weeks) swelling at the site of injection.
Allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis (facial and aural swelling, urticaria, vomiting) occur rarely and may require parenteral treatment with an antihistamine, a corticosteroid or adrenalin as appropriate.
Precautions
Proheart SR-12 Injection may be administered to dogs treated with Revolution (selamectin). A safety study showed that administration of Proheart SR-12 Injection to 12 week old puppies treated with Revolution was safe. However, the safety of concurrent treatment with Revolution and Proheart SR-12 Injection has not been demonstrated in macrocyclic lactone sensitive breeds e.g. sensitive collies.
Additional Information
