              • Clavulanic acid inactivates ß-lactamases, thus rendering the organisms sensitive to amoxycillin’s rapid effect at concentrations readily attainable in the body.
              • In vitro, Clavulox® is active against a wide range of clinically important bacteria, including Gram-positive: Staphylococci (including ß-lactamase producing strains), Corynebacteria spp., Streptococci; Gram-negative: Escherichia coli (including ß-lactamase producing strains), Bordetella bronchiseptica, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella spp. (including ß-lactamase producing strains), Pasteurella spp. and Klebsiella spp.. This makes Clavulox® a suitable empirical choice for many commonly seen bacterial infections in dogs and cats in general veterinary practice.
            • Dosage:

A standard dose rate of 12.5 mg/kg bodyweight twice daily is recommended, by oral administration. Refractory cases have shown improved cure rates by doubling the dose to 25 mg/kg bodyweight twice daily. For routine cases continue therapy for 5 to 7 days or for 48 hours after all symptoms have subsided. In chronic or refractory cases a longer course of therapy may be required.

                    Storage:

Store Below 25°C (Air Conditioning) in a dry place.
