    • VibraVet® is an excellent first-line antibiotic choice and comes in a convenient paste formulation for cats and dogs.
    • VibraVet® offers a broad spectrum of activity against a wide range of gram positive and negative organisms as well as some intracellular organisms and anaerobes.
  • VibraVet® (doxycycline) is approved for:

    • Treatment of infections caused by, or associated with, doxycycline susceptible organisms in dogs and cats, including skin infections such as pyoderma, folliculitis, respiratory infections such as tracheobronchitis, bronchitis and pneumonia, genitourinary infections such as cystitis and pyelonephritis, otitis externa and otitis media, gastrointestinal tract infections, osteomyelitis, puerperal infections
    • VibraVet® enhances compliance and treatment success:
      • Once daily dosing
      • Easy-to-administer, highly palatable paste.
      • Small sized scored tablets.
        • Ease of use by owners, making treatment less traumatic and increases compliance.
    • Science that works:
      • "Feline Friendly" spectrum of activity against a wide range of bacteria
      • Unique formulation doxycycline monohydrate is less irritant to gastrointestinal mucosa.
      • Limited renal excretion for excellent renal tolerance
    • Tablets (scored); 50mg, 100mg: 150's
    • Paste oral syringes; 100mg/g, 2.5g: 20's
    • Give a loading dose of doxycycline of 5mg/kg bodyweight, then 2.5mg/kg every 12 hours for two doses, then a maintenance dose of 2.5mg/kg every 24 hours.
    • Therapy should be continued for 5 to 7 days or for 48 hours after all symptoms have subsided.
    • Some chronic or refractory cases may require longer therapy and the following durations are suggested guidelines:
      • Chronic skin diseases - 10-20 days
      • Chronic cystitis - 10-28 days
      • Respiratory disease - 8-10 days
    • Law restricts this drug to use by or on order of a licensed veterinarian. (S4)
